Combining his love for literature and passion in writing, Jason spends a portion of his spare time teaching literature, creative wirting, and academic writing.

Between 2018 and 2020, Jason served on the Board of Advisors of the Hong Kong Baptist University’s International Writers’ Workshop (IWW). Before moving to Japan in 2023, he worked with various nonprofit organizations in Hong Kong to run writing workshops for asylum seekers, using the creative process as therapy to cope with their many hardships.

Jason also helps students taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) with:

  • English-A (higher and standard levels)
  • Theory of Knowledge
  • Extended Essays

In addition, he counsels pre-matriculation students on:

  • university applications, personal statements and interviews
  • standardized public exams, including SAT (verbal), GMAT (verbal), IELTS, LSAT and LNAT
  • career choices

Apart from teaching high school students, Jason provides assistance to adult learners who speak English as a second language with:

  • English conversation and business/situational vocabulary
  • negotiation, public speaking, and presentations
  • job interviews, CVs, and cover letters
